On four Donate & Skate days this season, a public skate at the outdoor Historic Folsom Ice Rink doubles as a gift to a local cause. On Thursday, November 19, 2026, $4 from every public skate ticket goes to the Christmas in Folsom (Home of Santa's Cottage) coat drive, and the rink collects new coats for local children and families. On Monday, November 30, $4 per admission benefits Twin Lakes Food Bank, with a food drive for non-perishable items at the rink. On Wednesday, December 2, a portion of every admission to the 6:00 p.m. session supports Carl Sundahl Elementary School. On Tuesday, January 12, 2027, $4 per admission goes to Powerhouse Ministries. Except for the December 2 evening, the donation applies to all public skate sessions that day (skating classes excluded); sessions last 90 minutes. Families simply buy a regular skate ticket — advance purchase is recommended — and can bring a coat or canned food on the matching days. It is an easy way for school-age kids to connect a fun outing with giving back during the holidays.
