About this adventure

The 6th annual Bulverde Turkey Trot brings Hill Country families out on Thanksgiving morning for a 5K run and a separate kids' race for children 12 and under, which starts first at 8 am, before the 5K at 8:15. More than 1,278 people took part in 2025, and organizers bill the 2026 edition as a celebration of America's 250th anniversary. A virtual option is also offered. Proceeds support The Centre's programs that introduce students and young adults to healthcare and science careers through hands-on learning, internships and mentorship. The race runs rain or shine, and registrations cannot be transferred or refunded. Prices go up after October 31, so signing up early saves money.
