A come-and-go art afternoon at the Group Picnic Pavilion near Government Canyon's Visitor Center. A ranger talks about the area's plants and soils, then visitors create artwork capturing the colors of the canyon using pounded wildflower petals, soil and leaves that the park provides. Please do not bring or collect natural objects, since wood and seeds from elsewhere can carry pests. Artists of all ages are welcome; minors need a parent or guardian. There is no hike, and the pavilion is wheelchair-friendly with a paved path, accessible picnic table and restroom. No registration is required; the activity is free with Natural Area entry.
