Upcoming dates: Tue, Nov 3 · Tue, Dec 1
On the first Tuesday evening of the month, the San Antonio Museum of Art sets up drop-in artmaking in its Great Hall for visitors of all ages. In November (Nov 3) the theme is Etruscan metalwork: families look at the ancient artistry in The Etruscans: From the Heart of Ancient Italy and make their own metalwork-inspired jewelry or decorative piece, no forge required. In December (Dec 1) kids explore Alexander Calder's moving sculptures and craft a kinetic ornament to hang, balance and take home. Activities run from 5 to 7 pm. Tuesdays at SAMA are free for Bexar County residents, and the evening is packed with other programs.
