About this adventure

The University of the Incarnate Word kicks off San Antonio's Christmas season with its 40th annual Light the Way Holiday Festival, presented by H-E-B, on the campus off Broadway. The festival is free and open to everyone, and families can have photos taken with Santa at no charge using their own camera or phone, with volunteers on hand to snap the picture. A Kids Corner adds cookie decorating, a train ride, build-a-stuffie and face painting, each paid through vendors, while food trucks and a holiday shop handle dinner and gifts, and local groups perform on the Little Nest Stage. Strollers and wagons are welcome, a changing and nursing tent sits beside the Administration Building, and portable restrooms are set up on the grounds. Parking is first come in the campus garages, so ride-sharing is encouraged on what is usually a very busy night.
