About this adventure

The DoSeum, San Antonio's children's museum, closes its regular day and reopens for an evening set aside for children of all abilities and their families. Capacity is kept low so the galleries stay calm and uncrowded, and the museum's motto for the night is "All the play. Half the noise." Children can move at their own pace through the hands-on exhibits such as Spy Academy, Little Town, Innovation Station, the Force Course and the Calm Corner. Signs around the building mark which areas are high-sensory, low-sensory, calming or tactile. Sunglasses, headphones and earplugs are handed out free at the front desk, and sensory backpack kits (sensory map, noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, fidget toys, wipes) can be borrowed. The museum also publishes a social narrative and sensory map to review before the visit. Tickets must be bought ahead of time; this December date is the last sensory night of 2026.
