Government Canyon celebrates current and former military members with a Veterans Day hike, and families and friends are invited to come along. Hikers are welcome to carry flags and bring photos or memorabilia to share. The route is about 3–5 miles over uneven terrain with moderate elevation change, so it suits teens 14 and older who hike regularly; minors must be with a parent or guardian. It is limited to the first 15 people to check in near the Rainwater Tower at the Visitor Center (park in Lot A or B, arrive by 8:45 am). No registration needed. Bring 2 liters of water per person and snacks.
