From November 7 through January 3, Sesame Place San Diego in Chula Vista celebrates the holidays with A Very Furry Christmas, a family-friendly season starring Elmo, Abby, Cookie Monster and the rest of the Sesame Street friends. On select dates the park offers its rides, Christmas-themed shows, the Sesame Street Christmas Parade and special holiday events, making it one of the most toddler- and preschool-friendly holiday outings in the county. The park's events page gives the season dates but not the daily schedule, so check the park's hours and show-times calendar before visiting, as the celebration runs on select dates rather than every day. The event is included with park tickets and season passes; Sesame Place is promoting season passes for the holiday period. After the holidays the park moves straight into Elmo's Furry Fun Fest, which begins on January 9 and is listed separately.
