County Parks hosts a free Halloween festival at the Fallbrook Community Center with carnival-style games, free giveaways, community resource booths and a costume contest. The event is designed for children of all abilities: a Sensory-Friendly Time from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. offers a quieter, less stimulating start before the general festival opens at 3:30 p.m., and a Quiet Room is available throughout for children who need a calm break. The costume contest begins at 5:30 p.m. and the festival ends at 6 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult. A free Hawktober raptor workshop runs at the same community center from 4 to 5 p.m. Questions: (760) 728-1671.
