Beginner music programs at School of Rock's Point Loma school. Rookies (typically ages 7-8) is a weekly group lesson for kids with no musical experience covering chords, rhythm and song structure while trying several instruments. Rock 101 (ages 8-13) adds a weekly private lesson to a weekly group rehearsal playing simplified classic rock songs, leading toward the Performance Program (ages 8-18), which ends in live shows at local San Diego venues. Songwriting (age 12+) and adult programs are also offered.
