About this adventure
Tacoma Musical Playhouse's main-stage holiday show is A Christmas Story: The Musical, following young Ralphie Parker in 1940s Indiana on his quest for the ultimate Christmas gift, a Red Ryder BB gun. Along the way he deals with schoolyard bullies, a strict teacher and well-meaning but skeptical parents, alongside his quirky family and friends. The show runs four weekends with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets for children 12 and under are discounted. The production is based on the Warner Bros. film and Jean Shepherd's stories.
