About this adventure
A free pop-up ice skating rink returns to Occidental Square in Pioneer Square for nine days in December, presented by Alaska Airlines. Skaters of all ages and abilities are invited and skates are loaned at no charge, so families do not need their own gear. The rink is open from noon to 6 p.m. daily, Dec. 12–20. On opening day, Saturday, Dec. 12, the Occidental Square Holiday Bazaar runs alongside the rink from noon to 5 p.m. with more than 30 local makers selling crafts, artwork and gifts.
