About this adventure

On the third Thursday of each month Museum of Glass in Tacoma is open free of charge from 5 to 8 p.m., and Hilltop Artists, Tacoma's youth glass-art program, brings its students and instructors onto the museum's hot shop floor to blow glass live in front of visitors. Families can watch young glass artists at work in the Hot Shop and then walk the galleries without paying admission. Hilltop Artists lists the evenings of November 19 and December 17, 2026 and January 21, 2027. The organizer also points out that the Tacoma Art Museum and the Washington State History Museum are free on the same third-Thursday evenings, so the three can be combined in one downtown Tacoma outing.
