Museum of Glass in Tacoma honors veterans with an evening program in its Hot Shop, the glassblowing studio inside the museum's landmark cone. The Path with Art Veterans Choir performs before the program, which includes a color guard ceremony, guest speakers and the presentation of certificates and commemorative glass coins to participants in the museum's Hot Shop Heroes glass program for veterans. At 6 pm, Army and Air Force veteran and glass artist Saul Velez talks about his service and his move into a career in glass. Veterans, active-duty military and their families get free museum admission all day. RSVP through the link on the museum page.
