About this adventure

The Seattle Symphony's Tiny Tots series for babies, toddlers and preschoolers goes festive in December with The Strings: Holiday String-Along in Benaroya Hall's Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall. Symphony string players turn the room into a winter wonderland of classic sing-alongs and favorite holiday music, and children get to know the instruments of the string family along the way. Each concert is a bite-sized 30 minutes, designed for ages 0–5. Half an hour before every show the Samuel & Althea Stroum Grand Lobby opens for free pre-concert activities: instrument discovery, a reading station, crafts and a percussion play area. Performances are Friday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. and Saturday, December 12 at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. All four were marked sold out on October 27, so families without tickets should watch the box office for returns or pick a later Tiny Tots program. Fidgets, wobble cushions and noise-reducing headphones can be borrowed at the coat check.
