About this adventure

On two holiday weekends the River King Newfoundland Club brings its gentle giants to Eckert's Belleville Farm, where the big dogs put their strength to work hauling freshly cut Christmas trees from the cut-your-own field to the Garden Center. Children can watch the draft dogs in harness while their family picks out a tree, and it makes a memorable addition to a tree-cutting outing. The club, a regional chapter of the Newfoundland Club of America, has supported the breed for more than 30 years, and donations are accepted for River King Newfoundland Rescue. The dogs work from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; tree cutting and the farm's Christmas Tree Lane photo scenes are open the same days.
