Maplewood's holiday evening begins at 6:00pm in CNB Bank Park with caroling, Santa's arrival and the lighting of the town Christmas tree. Santa then visits with children in the CNB Bank lobby (7305 Manchester Rd) from 6:15 to 8:00pm, and families may take photos. Horse-drawn carriage rides leave from the CNB/Schnucks parking lot from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Carriage tickets go on sale there at 5:30pm, first come, first served, and are non-refundable. Downtown merchants hold open houses; listed participants include the Maplewood Lions Club giving out Christmas books and candy canes, Sabroso Cocina Mexicana with stocking stuffers for kids, and Vom Fass with Sankt Nikolaus handing out goodie bags to kids. Street parking and public lots are free.
