About this adventure
St. Charles County Parks lights the historic village at the Daniel Boone Home with thousands of candles for four evenings in December. Families walk at their own pace along candlelit gravel and grass paths, stopping at vignettes where costumed interpreters show holiday traditions of the early 1800s and tell holiday tales; each station repeats every 8–10 minutes, so expect short waits. There are traditional carols, warm apple cider, warming stations and a Christkindlmarkt in the Grand Pavilion. Village-only tickets are $10; a $15 ticket adds a timed tour of the Boone Home. Tickets are nonrefundable, flash photography and video are not allowed, and the county advises dressing for the weather and wearing good walking shoes.
