About this adventure

Brooksville Main Street's annual Christmas on Main fills historic downtown Brooksville with an afternoon and evening of holiday festivities that build up to the lighting of the big Christmas tree at the Hernando County Courthouse around 7 p.m. From 3 p.m. families can take photos with Santa, browse a Christmas craft market of handcrafted gifts and treats from local artisans and downtown merchants, and eat at downtown restaurants and food trucks. The stage program includes a holiday showcase by Live Oak Theatre plus local dance groups, school and church choirs, and roaming characters, and Patricia's Boutique stages its "Windows Come to Life" holiday window display. Arriving in the late afternoon gives children time for Santa and the market before the crowd gathers for the tree lighting after dark. The organizers describe it as a family-friendly kickoff to the season in downtown Brooksville.
