About this adventure

Brooksville Main Street turns downtown's Hernando Park into a calm winter wonderland for its fourth Family Sensory Christmas Celebration, an evening designed for families with children of all abilities and especially kids with sensory sensitivities. Instead of a loud mall line, children meet Santa in a quiet, dedicated space where the visit and photos can go at their own pace. Low-sensory craft and play stations with a gumdrop-and-candy-cane theme let kids explore gently, designated quiet zones give families a place to step away and decompress, and the whole park uses soft lighting and lower sound levels. Volunteers trained to support children with sensory needs are on hand. An open-air Christmas craft market with local artisans and food vendors runs alongside. Admission is free and open to the public, and families can come and go during the four-hour window.
