About this adventure

A free 12-acre waterfront estate on the Lafayette River in Norfolk's Lochhaven neighborhood, mixing art, nature and history. Families can walk the waterfront gardens with seasonal blooms and outdoor sculptures, then look at the art collection and temporary exhibitions inside the historic house. There's a playground next to the Goode Family Visual Arts School, which runs art classes for children 13 and under. Leashed dogs are welcome in the gardens but not in the museum. Parking is free. Some GPS systems send drivers to the wrong spot in the neighborhood, so use the museum's directions.
