About this adventure

A 645-acre park on the York River in southern Gloucester County, about 10 miles downriver from Werowocomoco. An open-air interpretive pavilion and a walking path through the landscape tell the story of the culture, landscape and movement of Virginia Indians. A paved trail along the main park road works for walking and kids' bike rides. The park has open fields, woodland and marsh habitats, a car-top boat launch pier with an accessible entry, small floating docks on Timberneck Creek for fishing, two picnic shelters, a campground and three yurts. The park doesn't sell food, drinks or ice, so bring what you need.
