Fairfax Ice Arena Inc.

Fairfax Ice Arena is an independent indoor rink in Fairfax that runs public skating every day of the year, with extra holiday sessions. Its winter public skate hours (November 1 through March 31) include a late-morning session every day, late-afternoon and evening sessions Tuesday through Friday, long weekend afternoon sessions and Friday and Saturday night skates. Over Thanksgiving week (November 25–29) it adds long holiday sessions, charged at the holiday rate. Admission is one price for all ages per session, with a higher weekend and holiday rate starting Friday at 8:30 pm; skate rental is extra. Admission and rentals are sold in person at the box office from 30 minutes before each session, and weekend afternoon and long holiday sessions pause for ice resurfacing. Homeschool students under 18 get a reduced rate during the Wednesday late-morning session when area schools are in session. Groups of seven or more need a reservation 24 hours ahead to get the group rate. The arena also runs lessons, camps, freestyle and hockey.
