Holiday Share Fair at Black Hill

A free, trunk-or-treat-style swap at Black Hill Discovery Center in Boyds. 'Giver' families set up in their car trunks or at their own tables with clean, usable items they no longer need — outgrown coats, games and toys the kids have stopped playing with — and give them away. Anyone can drop by during the two hours to browse and take what they can use, so it is a handy way to find winter gear or gently used toys before the holidays, and to teach children about passing things on. Nothing may be sold or bartered. Givers and visitors vote for the best set-up. Only giver families need to register (one adult per family, up to two parking spaces); browsers just show up.
