The Town of Herndon welcomes the holiday season with a free tree lighting and sing-along at Town Hall Square in downtown Herndon. Families gather for festive music and carols, then count down to the moment the town's holiday tree is switched on. The event runs for an hour and a half in the early evening, which keeps it manageable for young children, and the next day the town holds its Holiday Arts & Crafts Show. Bring warm clothes; the celebration is outdoors. No registration is needed.
