Organizer

The Square Rockville / Rockville Ice Skating

Rockville Town Square's outdoor seasonal ice rink sits on the plaza at The Square in downtown Rockville, surrounded by restaurants and shops. The Square announces that the rink opened for the season on Sunday, October 18, and it is open seven days a week: from 10 am on Saturdays and Sundays and from noon on weekdays, until 10 pm most nights and 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Each ticket covers up to two hours of skating. Online reservations, which can be made up to two weeks ahead, are cheaper than walk-up tickets and the rink says sessions do sell out, so booking ahead is wise on weekends and holidays; arrive within 10 minutes of your reserved time. Children 12 and under and seniors pay a little less than skaters 13 and over, and skate rental is extra. Parking in the town square garage is validated for two hours. Weekend-morning group lessons are offered for children ages 4–6 and 7–15, with private lessons by arrangement. The closing date for the season is not published.
