At Gulf Branch Nature Center, children write their letters to Santa the old-fashioned way. Staff mix holiday fun with hands-on history: kids try different old-time writing tools to compose their message, then finish the letter with a custom wax seal before dropping it into a special mailbox bound for the North Pole. Each session lasts one hour, and the program is offered twice in December, once on a Saturday morning and once on a Saturday afternoon. Registration is through Arlington's recreation registration system, and the listed cost is 8 (unit not stated on the event page). It suits children old enough to write or dictate a short letter, with a grown-up alongside.
