About this adventure

Santa sets up at The Capital Wheel on National Harbor's waterfront on the weekend after Thanksgiving and on the first three December weekends. Children can share their wish lists and have their picture taken with Santa, then ride the 180-foot observation wheel above the Potomac. A Capital Wheel ticket purchase is required for the photo opportunity. Santa also makes an early visit on Saturday, November 7 (noon to 4 p.m.) for Harbor Holidays, the opening day of the season, with toy-soldier stilt walkers before National Harbor's tree is lit for the first time at 5:30 p.m. Pair a visit with the nightly holiday tree light show on the plaza nearby.
