Spooky Serpents is a Halloween-night program at Potomac Overlook Regional Park's nature center for families who like their scares with scales. Participants get an up-close look at the snakes that live at the nature center and watch a naturalist feed them mice, with plenty of snake facts along the way. The program fee is $7 per participant for everyone 7 and older, adults included; children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone must preregister, and registration closes the day before; call the nature center at 703-528-5406 if you are running late.
