The day before Thanksgiving, Potomac Overlook's nature center gives its animals a holiday feast, and families can help. A naturalist introduces many of the center's resident turtles, snakes and birds and lets participants feed some of them a spread of mealworms, mice and more. It is a good school-break outing for animal-loving kids. The fee is $10 per participant for ages 5 and up, with adults counted as participants; children must be with an adult. All participants must preregister by the day before, and the group meets at the nature center.
