The National Postal Museum near Union Station hosts a free Halloween festival, Stamp & Scream, on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11 am to 3 pm. Families explore spooky stamps and silly surprises, make hands-on art, and join a museum-wide costume parade, with seasonal stories and activities around the galleries; costumes are encouraged. NMAAHC Kids educators from the National Museum of African American History and Culture run a station on the connections between The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz, looking at the Wizard of Oz stamp and costumes from The Wiz before children design a colorful costume for Toto. No registration is required. A good indoor Halloween option for preschool and elementary children.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Two calendar entries (NPM Stamp & Scream; NMAAHC Kids station) describe the same festival; merged. Address printed in the NMAAHC entry (zip added). Street address is the museum's standard public address; the calendar entry gives only the room.
