About this adventure

Creative Cauldron's Learning Theater stages a bilingual, Spanish-infused musical version of Hans Christian Andersen's tale, adapted by Laura Connors Hull and Lenny Mendez with music by Matt Conner and Stephen Gregory Smith. A vain emperor nearly bankrupts his kingdom over lavish clothes until two rogues posing as weavers sell him a 'magnificent' wardrobe they claim is invisible to anyone incompetent or foolish. The intimate black-box theater in Falls Church makes it a good first-play outing for young children, and the mix of English and Spanish suits bilingual families. Performances run three weekends; a family four-pack (2 adults, 2 students) is $70 with code 4PK. Arrive 30 minutes early — late seating is not guaranteed — and use the free parking in the Broad and Washington garage.
