Posada Navideña Celebration at Plaza Fiesta

About this adventure

Plaza Fiesta, the Latino shopping center on Buford Highway, celebrates the Mexican Christmas tradition of the posada on Sunday, December 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Posadas recall Mary and Joseph's search for lodging and are celebrated across Mexico in the days before Christmas with music and a party. Plaza Fiesta's version is filled with dancing, piñatas, clowns, food, bells ringing and whistles blowing, which makes it lively for young children and a chance for families of any background to experience a holiday tradition beyond Santa and tree lightings. The event is bilingual, in English and Spanish. Expect plenty of noise from the bells and whistles. No ticket or registration is listed. The Plaza Fiesta office can be reached at (404) 982-9138.
