Organizer

Atlanta Ice House

The Atlanta Ice House is a year-round indoor ice rink inside the Compete Center on Prado Lane in east Marietta, with a full sheet and a smaller half-sheet training rink. Public Skate sessions are open to anyone: no reservation is needed, you simply arrive a few minutes before a session starts, pay at the rink and rent skates if you need them. Because it is indoors, it works on warm or rainy days when the seasonal outdoor rinks in Atlanta are closed or not yet open, and it runs all winter long. Admission is per session, with a lower rate for children under 10, and skate rental is a separate add-on. Families who come often can buy a 10-visit punch card or a monthly unlimited pass on site, and groups of 10 or more get a combined admission-plus-rental rate. Session times are posted on the rink's Google calendar and change from week to week around hockey, figure skating and Learn to Skate ice; the rink warns that anything more than a week out may change, so check the calendar the day before. The same building runs Learn to Skate USA classes for children from age 3, which include extra public skate sessions.
