About this adventure
Vandegrift High School's FIRST Tech Challenge team, QuadX 6299, brings its competition robots to the Lake Travis Community Library's West branch in Spicewood for an interactive demonstration. Children ages 8 to 13 can watch the robots in action, ask the team how they are built and programmed, and take part in science experiments the students run during the session. It is a low-key way for curious elementary and middle schoolers to see what school robotics teams do. The program runs an hour and a half in the West meeting room (in the outpost building behind the library) on a Saturday afternoon, and no registration is required.
