About this adventure
Taylor turns 150 in 2026, and The Big 1-5-0 is the headline weekend of the sesquicentennial year in downtown Taylor. Friday evening opens with a street dance at 2nd and Porter streets from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday is the big family day, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.: a street fair and festival with vendors, live music, food, dancing and fair rides, capped by Taylor's first-ever drone show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday is the better pick for families with young children; the drone show makes it worth staying into the evening. Rides may carry their own charges, so bring some cash or a card, and expect downtown streets to be closed to traffic.
