About this adventure

The Maryland City at Russett branch in Laurel throws a New Year's Eve party timed for children who will be asleep long before midnight. Families come for crafts, activities and music in the community meeting room, then everyone joins a festive countdown to noon. The library lists it for all ages, from babies and preschoolers to school-age kids, teens and their grown-ups, so siblings of different ages can come together. It runs for an hour from 11:30 am on December 31 while schools are on winter break. No registration is listed — just come in.
