Port Discovery Children's Museum rings in 2027 at noon so young children can celebrate without staying up until midnight. From 10 am to 3 pm on New Year's Eve, families find a Welcome Aboard photo area, New Year's Eve hats and headbands to make, colorful countdown numbers and Polar Discovery Time. The main event is the Countdown to Noontime in the Atrium: dance music, guest volunteers and a confetti finale, followed by juice and cookies, plus a dance party in the Playhouse theater. A sensory-friendly version of the countdown takes place in a quieter, lower-noise space with no confetti, led by volunteers. Everything is included with general admission, $25.95 for ages 1 and up, and free for museum members.
