Weekly Saturday-morning family bird walks on the trails of the Boston Nature Center in Mattapan. A Mass Audubon guide helps kids and adults spot local residents and seasonal visitors by their behavior, field marks and calls, with each week's walk tied to what is happening in migration that week. Families also learn to use apps like Merlin and eBird, so the hobby continues at home. Binoculars and field guides are provided. Each walk lasts an hour and covers up to a mile on flat, even trails; wear sturdy footwear. Open to families with children of all ages; registration per session.
