A first birding outing for families with small children at Broadmoor in Natick. A naturalist leads a slow walk on the sanctuary trails, helping kids spot and identify resident and fall birds by color, call and behavior. Midway, families meet a bird wildlife ambassador up close, and the program closes with a bird-themed craft to take home. It is pitched as a gentle introduction for young animal lovers ages 2 to 8, lasts 90 minutes and follows dirt and wooded trails. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes; meet in front of the Nature Center.
