Families visit Drumlin Farm's sheep barn to meet the flock and help the farmer serve hay, learning what it takes to keep animals warm and fed as the weather turns cold. Then the program turns crafty: kids try carding and processing raw wool until it is soft and ready for spinning, follow how wool travels from a sheep's back to sweaters and blankets, and make a small wool craft to take home. The 90-minute session is for families with children ages 2 to 10, runs rain or shine on paved paths and dirt trails, and calls for clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Meet in front of the Nature Center.
