About this adventure

Hestia Creations, the custom ornament and giftware shop on Hawkes Street in Marblehead, opens its Paint Your Own Pottery studio on Saturday, December 12 for a holiday handprint gift-making day from 10 am to 3 pm. Families choose a bisque piece from the studio's selection and turn their children's handprints into a personalized keepsake to give to grandparents, relatives, teachers or anyone else special. Studio staff help with the handprints and guide each family through finishing the piece. Instruction is free and you pay only for the piece you choose to paint; the listing does not print piece prices. Reservations are preferred but not required. The studio's reservation page says the studio is small and closes to drop-in painters while it hosts a party or large group, and that a reserved drop-in time carries a $25 fee that is applied to your purchase when you come in. Regular studio hours are weekdays 10 am to 5 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm.
