For Halloween weekend, Sarah Nolen of Puppet Motion performs Lisa the Wise, a puppet retelling of a Slavic folktale: when Lisa, a brave young girl with a heart of gold, meets Baba Yaga, the most famous witch in the woods, an epic battle of wits follows. It is spooky in a storybook way rather than scary, and recommended for ages 4 to 10. Shows run at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1 at Puppet Showplace Theater in Brookline, a good costume-friendly outing before trick-or-treating.
