The Cronin Memorial Skating Arena on Revere Beach Parkway is a state-owned (DCR) indoor rink run by FMC Ice Sports, and it holds public skating sessions open to all ages and abilities; on October 21, 2026 the day's session ran 12:30-2:30 pm, but times vary by day. Public skating costs $10, adults 62 and over skate free with ID, and rental skates are $10 on a first-come basis. The arena has a party room, snack bar, Wi-Fi and skate sharpening. FMC recommends recreational (figure-style) skates for new skaters, thin socks, warm layers and waterproof clothing for young children, plus a bike or hockey helmet, since none are available at the rink. The rink is also home to youth hockey and the North Shore Stingrays synchronized skating teams, so check the day's schedule for public ice.
