Porrazzo Skating Rink in East Boston is a DCR indoor rink run by FMC Ice Sports with public skating for skaters of all ages and abilities. Admission is $10, rentals are $10, and adults 62 and over skate free with ID. The rink has a snack bar and skate sharpening, and it hosts the DCR Universal Access adaptive skating program on several weekday mornings this winter (December 9, January 6 and February 3), when sleds, walkers and ice grippers are on the ice for skaters with disabilities and their families. For regular public sessions, check the rink's public skating calendar because times shift around high school and junior hockey ice. A helmet is strongly recommended and must be brought from home.
