Puppeteer and ukulele player Harry LaCoste brings The Loose Caboose to Puppet Showplace in Brookline: when a train engineer's caboose is stranded, he opens a suitcase and discovers puppet characters and musical stories inside, and the show unspools from there with songs and audience fun. It is recommended for ages 3 to 7, a sweet fit for train-loving preschoolers. After the Sunday show, kids can stay for a train coloring sheet craft, a dress-up station and a chance to see the puppets. Extra performances are scheduled on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, when many schools are closed.
