Run Club of Malden

Run Club of Malden's annual pre-Thanksgiving race pairs a free kids' dash with a 5K, starting from the Dartmouth Street parking lot in Malden. The kids' dash, best for ages 10 and under, goes off at 9:30 am, and the 5K follows at 10:00, so parents can cheer their children on and then run or walk themselves. Proceeds and donations support Bread of Life, which provides free food to families in the metro-north area, and the Mystic Valley YMCA; the club's goal is to raise $2,000. 5K runners who register before November 1 are guaranteed their T-shirt size. Volunteers are welcome for race weekend through the race page, which is also where to register for both events.
