The Carolina Renaissance Festival turns a wooded site off Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville into a 16th-century village every Saturday and Sunday from October 3 through November 22, 2026, open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., rain or shine. Families wander the village for costumed street performers, stage shows, artisans and food, and watch the armored joust in the Tournament Joust Arena, where general seating is always free (reserved VIP joust seats cost extra). Tickets are priced by age: adults 13 and up are $37.99 plus sales tax and children 5 to 12 are $23.99 plus tax, including the service fee, and children 4 and under are always free. Parking is free. The festival notes that dates often sell out, so buy tickets in advance, and its Special Event Weekends page lists several free child admission opportunities. No pets.
