North County Regional Library in Huntersville hosts a half-hour children's Halloween parade celebrating favorite books. Children come dressed as book characters or Halloween creatures, and library staff lead the parade from one service point to the next, with a Halloween treat at each stop. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to dress up too. It works best for babies through elementary-age children with their families; the listing says it is open to all ages. A quick, low-key costume outing in the late morning.
