About this adventure

The Gaston County Museum of Art & History leads hour-long ghost tours around the Dallas Historic Town Square, the old county seat, telling the stories of the ghosts and ghouls said to haunt Dallas and Gaston County. This year's tours also step inside the 1852 Hoffman Hotel, which the museum calls the most haunted building on the Square. The museum's calendar lists two tours on Friday, October 30 (7:00 and 8:00 p.m.). Children under 13 go free, but the museum asks families to reserve a spot for them because space on each tour is limited, and the organizer warns that tickets sell out quickly. It suits older children and families comfortable with spooky local history told after dark; bring a flashlight and walking shoes for the square.
